Episode Six and Sharesies launch New Zealand’s First Spend-to-Invest Debit Card

Payments infrastructure provider Episode Six has partnered with wealth app Sharesies to launch a new debit card in New Zealand, marking the country’s first offering of its kind to link everyday spending directly to long-term investing. The new product allows customers to earn investments based on their spending, offering a simple and accessible way for New Zealanders to build wealth through daily transactions.

The card leverages Episode Six’s modern card issuing and ledger technology, which enables multi-currency support, virtual account provisioning, and integrated foreign exchange capabilities. This infrastructure allows Sharesies’ users to move seamlessly between spending and investing within a single platform.
