Payments technology firm Juspay entered into a strategic global agreement with Sabre Corporation, a leading software and technology provider for the travel industry. The collaboration is designed to transform payments for travel businesses and their customers by laying the groundwork for scalable, next-generation payment orchestration solutions across the global travel ecosystem.

The partnership comes at a critical time for the sector, where online bookings are projected to reach $1.2trillion by 2026, accounting for nearly 65% of all travel transactions. By combining Juspay’s cutting-edge payment orchestration technology with Sabre’s extensive global travel network, the companies aim to drive higher conversions, enhance security, and deliver a superior customer experience worldwide.
A core feature of the collaboration involves integrating Juspay’s tokenisation solution with Sabre Direct Pay. This integration will enhance the security and efficiency of travel payments, enabling airlines, hotels, and booking engines to process transactions seamlessly without having to handle sensitive card data. This reduces fraud risk and increases operational efficiency for travel merchants.
Patricio Boccardo, managing director at Sabre Payments, emphasised the fundamental nature of the transaction. “Travel payments are the backbone of the entire travel ecosystem,” Boccardo said. He added that the agreement with Juspay is an important step in delivering sector-specific orchestration solutions that address the complexities travel companies face every day—from local payment methods and regulatory compliance to multi-currency settlements and instant, secure transactions.
The combined offering will empower travel merchants with scalable, sector-specific capabilities, including:
- Access to diverse local payment methods.
- Faster go-to-market enablement.
- Optimised cross-border payments.
- Seamless checkout experiences.
- Intelligent promotion engines.
- Streamlined reconciliation across multiple sources.

Sheetal Lalwani, co-founder and COO at Juspay, commented that as digital payments evolve, travellers expect fast, secure, and seamless checkout experiences. “By partnering with Sabre Direct Pay, we aim to bring smart, scalable payment solutions to the global travel ecosystem, helping businesses unlock new opportunities and deliver superior experiences worldwide,” Lalwani stated.
Boccardo highlighted that Sabre is redefining what is possible by combining speed, security, and true global scale. He asserted that the industry is choosing Sabre Payments because it delivers higher conversion rates, reduced fraud, and streamlined financial operations.
Through this strategic agreement, Juspay and Sabre are strengthening payment flows and empowering travel merchants to streamline operations, optimise transaction routing, and deliver secure payment experiences for travellers globally. Juspay processes over 300 million daily transactions, exceeding an annualised total payment volume (TPV) of $1trillion, and is leveraging its technology to target the intricate, high-value travel payments segment.
