In a landscape where speed and convenience are paramount, Careem has released its 2025 Trends Report, offering a data-driven look at how the “Everything App” strategy is shaping daily life in the UAE.

The report reveals a significant shift towards multi-service usage, with the platform expanding into new cities including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Sharjah, while enhancing its financial services and on-demand delivery capabilities.
Mudassir Sheikha, CEO and co-founder of Careem, commented on the platform’s trajectory: “In 2025, we stayed true to our purpose of simplifying lives across the region. We expanded into new cities, introduced new services, and made our platform more personalized and reliable through AI-powered tools.”.
The rise of instant remittances
For the fintech sector, the report highlights the growing dominance of digital remittances over traditional methods. Careem Pay expanded its international remittance service to over 35 countries in 2025.
Speed has become a critical differentiator. Careem Pay set a new record with a transfer to India completed in just 7 seconds. Furthermore, nearly 20 per cent of all transfers on the platform were completed in under 60 seconds.
The scale of these transactions is also notable. One user transferred a total of $620,000 to Pakistan in 2025, while another prolific sender made over 480 transfers to India throughout the year.
The subscription economy: Value-driven loyalty
As consumers seek more value, the subscription model has proven effective. Careem Plus members saved an average of AED 375 per month in 2025, representing a 25 per cent increase compared to 2024.
The utility of the subscription is driving deep engagement, with the most active member saving over AED 18,200 during the year. The most frequently used services by subscribers were Careem Food, Careem Quik, and Careem Rides, reinforcing the “super app” value proposition where users rely on a single platform for multiple daily needs.
In the on-demand sector, speed continues to break records. The fastest grocery delivery via Careem Quik reached a customer in just 70 seconds in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The platform also capitalized on viral consumer trends. Careem Quik became the exclusive home of Fix Dessert Chocolatiere (the viral ‘Dubai Chocolate’). The demand was substantial, with one customer placing a single order for the chocolate worth AED 19,800.
Sustainability and mobility
Beyond commerce, the report underscores a shift towards sustainable mobility. Careem Bike users completed 1.8 million trips in 2025, covering over 7.8 million kilometers and displacing 1.2k tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Meanwhile, Careem Rides covered more than 160 million kilometers across the UAE—a distance equivalent to traveling from Earth to the Moon and back over 200 times.
As the region moves into 2026, Careem’s data suggests a continued consumer preference for integrated digital ecosystems that offer speed, financial utility, and personalized value.
