ClearBank, the provider of real-time clearing and embedded banking, has selected digital asset infrastructure leader Taurus to provide the wallet technology for its new stablecoin-related services.
Under the strategic agreement, ClearBank will utilise Taurus-PROTECT as its wallet infrastructure provider. The move is designed to allow the bank to advance its digital asset strategy securely and at scale, with a specific focus on supporting stablecoin services for its diverse client base.
Connecting to the Circle ecosystem

A key component of the partnership is the integration of Taurus-PROTECT with Circle Mint, the platform enabling financial institutions to mint and redeem MiCAR-compliant USDC and EURC.
This development follows closely on the heels of ClearBank’s recent announcement of its plans to join the Circle Payment Network. By securing the necessary wallet infrastructure, ClearBank is positioning itself to facilitate global value transfer with blockchain transparency and internet-level speeds.
The collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and cost profile of critical banking functions, including corporate payments and international remittances, by complementing traditional payment rails with stablecoin innovation.
Mark Fairless, chief executive officer at ClearBank, commented: “As our clients explore digital assets, they expect the same standards of security, resilience, and governance that they receive from our existing services. We’re pleased to be working with Taurus-PROTECT, which gives us the robust and compliant digital asset solutions we need. This partnership is an important step for ClearBank as we bring new, innovative services to our clients and help shape the future of payments.”
Infrastructure for the 2026 shift

The deal comes as the industry predicts a shift for stablecoins in 2026 from “hype to hegemony,” driven by increased regulatory clarity and demand from major corporations.
Taurus, headquartered in Switzerland, already supports over 30 financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank and State Street, for custody and issuance. Its platform offers secure safekeeping for digital assets and is adaptable to various regulatory operating models.
Lamine Brahimi, co-founder and managing partner at Taurus, added: “We are delighted that ClearBank has chosen Taurus-PROTECT as the foundation for its digital asset solution capabilities. ClearBank is recognised as an innovator in payments and clearing, and we look forward to supporting them as they modernise cross-border finance.”
