Pakistani fintech platform NayaPay has partnered with Alipay+, the global wallet gateway powered by Ant International, to launch global QR payments. The move will allow millions of NayaPay users to scan and pay at Alipay+ merchants in over 50 countries, significantly expanding the international utility of the Pakistani digital wallet.
The partnership is designed to connect Pakistani consumers with an extensive global ecosystem of merchants, spanning retail, dining, transport, healthcare, and entertainment. By leveraging Alipay+’s network, which connects 40 international mobile payment partners to more than 150 million merchants worldwide, NayaPay aims to make cross-border payments faster, more affordable, and seamless.
Empowering Pakistani travellers
For Pakistani travellers, the integration removes the friction often associated with using cash or traditional cards abroad. Users will be able to make secure payments directly from their NayaPay app, benefiting from transparent exchange rates and the convenience of a digital-first experience.

A deepening collaboration
The launch marks the next phase of a growing partnership between the two companies. In early 2024, NayaPay became the first fintech in Pakistan to enable direct QR payments at over 80 million merchants in China. The expanded integration now brings that same capability to markets worldwide.

NayaPay, which is authorised by the State Bank of Pakistan, empowers underserved consumers and small businesses with access to digital financial services, including e-money accounts, Visa debit cards, and bill payments. In 2024, the company was recognised on the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list and named to the CB Insights Fintech 100.
