Professional services group S&W has appointed Graham Charlton as a partner in its private client tax services team.
Charlton will be based in Bristol, UK, and will also work with clients in Birmingham and across the wider region.
S&W partner and Private Client Tax Services head Chris Shepard said: “We are delighted to welcome Graham to the team. His appointment brings a wealth of experience and enhances our private client tax services offering in Bristol.
“His expertise in complex transactions and strategic tax planning will enable us to deliver even greater value to clients, helping them navigate challenges with confidence and clarity.”
With more than two decades of experience, Charlton has held senior roles at KPMG, PwC and Bishop Fleming.
His expertise is in personal and capital taxes, with a focus on advising private equity-backed businesses and supporting clients through complex transactions and tax planning.
Charlton said: “I am excited to join S&W and work closely with clients to help them achieve their goals.
“My focus will be on guiding them through complex transactions and strategic planning, ensuring they have the clarity and confidence to make informed decisions.
“By leveraging my experience in personal and capital taxes, I aim to deliver tailored solutions that create real value for their businesses and personal wealth.”
In November last year, S&W grew its business through the purchase of accountancy practice Haines Watts Scotland, which operated from offices in Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy and Stirling.
The deal strengthened S&W’s footprint across the UK, further supporting its northern expansion, after it bought Haines Watts companies in Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle the year before.
“S&W adds new partner to private client tax services team” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
